Intermittent job display issues

Incident Report for Happydance

Postmortem

Some jobs didn’t display on careers websites from 10:47 am UTC on 3 November 2026, and on some page loads they did. A Microsoft Azure AI Search incident caused this. We moved all careers website indexes to a new service plan, and jobs are displaying normally again.

What happened

There was a problem with the Azure AI Search service plan our careers websites use, and some jobs went missing or appeared intermittently. It was the second Azure AI Search incident that day, after one from 3:07 am to 5:13 am UTC, and it followed a similar one on 31 October.

We posted the incident at 11:37 am UTC and moved careers websites to a new search index as a precaution. At 14:31 UTC the moves had already reduced the impact, and we continued until all careers websites were on the new service plan.

Impact

Until a careers website was moved, some of its jobs may not have displayed, or may have shown on some page loads and not others. Customers didn’t need to do anything.

Resolution

All careers website indexes are now on a new service plan.

Identified

Since 10:47 am UTC on November 3, 2026, some jobs may not be displaying on careers websites. This is caused by a new incident with Microsoft Azure AI Search. It’s the second one today, after the incident between 3:07 am and 5:13 am UTC, and it follows a similar incident on October 31.
Microsoft’s automatic recovery is running and their engineers are investigating. The impact may be intermittent, so jobs could show on some page loads and not on others.
